You did it! You worked hard on your cover letter and resume, sent it out, and got an interview! Congratulations on scoring that interview, but your hard work isn’t over just yet. It is a common misconception that there is no need to prepare for an interview; after all, you did blow them away with your amazing cover letter and resume! Unfortunately, this isn’t the case, and every interview requires a little bit of studying. Prior to your interview, log on to the company’s website and do some research. What does the company do? What is their history? Who are their clients? What services to they offer? Do they have multiple locations? By gathering this and other pertinent information, you can reflect and see what you could bring to the table as an intern. It will make answering the dreaded question, “Why should we hire you?” a lot easier!
